Interviews with Ahmed Samih

Interviewed January 5, 2011

There are some groups who don´t want to see a democratic Egypt. Who don´t want to see a democratic, civic Egypt. Democratic– secular Egypt. Some people says that we want– a civic state with an Islamic background. We know these people and we know– that they are somehow a danger on– this born new democracy.

And we know that they have the ability to change them own political beliefs very quickly. We quite aware about– what they been do. But we also been very successful of creating the environment that no one can say we don´t want democracy. We create the environment that people say democracy is very needed, is very vital and important to our future. Once we maintain doing this and doing other things immediately– we will manage to control this– backward power in the Egyptian society.
