George W. Bush Presidential Center

Located on the SMU campus in Dallas, Texas, the George W. Bush Presidential Center is a nonpartisan institution advancing the timeless values of freedom, opportunity, accountability, and compassion. The Bush Center comprises the George W. Bush Presidential Museum and the George W. Bush Institute, a solution-oriented policy organization focused on ensuring opportunity for all, strengthening democracy, and advancing free societies through policy solutions and public engagement. The Bush Center also houses the George W. Bush Presidential Library, operated by the National Archives and Records Administration, which provides access to official documents and artifacts from the George W. Bush Administration. 

The Bush Center’s 226,000-square-foot building and 15-acre urban park sits on the beautiful SMU campus in Dallas, Texas.

The Bush Center offers distinctive dining and shopping experiences, as well as an urban oasis in the Native Texas Park.

Education and Collaboration

The Bush Center enjoys a special relationship with SMU, collaborating with the university to host events, conduct research, and provide unique learning opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students.

Preserving History


As the 13th presidential library, the Bush Presidential Library and Museum promotes an understanding of the American presidency, examines the specific time in history during which President Bush served, and provides access to official records and artifacts from the Bush Administration.
