Interviews with Ahmed Samih

Interviewed January 5, 2011

The second wave of the revolution meant or built to deliver a very direct message to the military that the Egyptians want democracy. Don´t want a democracy made by the military. They want democracy made by themselves. Protected by the military.

Tomorrow is a very important day in the Egyptian revolution because we want to fast the process. We want to create constitution before doing election. We want to make sure that everybody participating in the election– I´m sorry.

We want to make sure that everybody participating in creating the constitution not only the winners of– in the election going to participate of creating this constitution. We want to have a very powerful democratic constitution. Maintain a democratic life in Egypt for the next generations. We want to have our own godfathers– who create this– constitution.

We want to have our own founders who are the new democracy in Egypt. And it seems the situation right now is not taking the youth– into the consideration. And– the youth is the people who did it. The youth is the people who– who manage to bring down the dictator in 18 days. Tomorrow is the day we have something to say to the Egyptian people.
