DALLAS – The George W. Bush Presidential Center announces a new series, Americans: Against All Odds presented by The Haidar Family, spotlighting individuals who embody the American spirit of resilience and grit.
Over the course of the series, audiences will hear from standout voices from sports, business, entrepreneurship, and entertainment, each bringing powerful insights into the American tradition of defying the odds.
“Throughout our nation’s history, some of our greatest examples of leadership and progress have come from people who persevered through challenges, reinvented themselves, and forged new paths forward,” said Bush Center’s President and CEO Shilo Brooks. “This series celebrates the American stories that remind us that success is never out of reach.”
The inaugural program, scheduled for Monday, October 19, at 6:30 p.m., will feature New York Times bestselling author Allen Levi. Levi will share his journey from boyhood in Columbus, Georgia, to a career as an attorney, to life as a traveling musician, and ultimately to becoming a bestselling author of Theo of Golden at age 69. Though his path has taken many turns, determination is the thread that binds his story together.
Members of the media can register for credentials to attend at bushcenter.org/newsroom. The deadline to register is Wednesday, October 14. A livestream will also be available to watch on YouTube.
