Bush Museum to offer free admission days and special events for visitors in April

The George W. Bush Presidential Museum will offer free admission on April 10 and 17 courtesy of Sewell Automotive Companies; Bush Museum After Hours on April 11, and a special presentation on April 18.

Dallas, Texas — The George W. Bush Presidential Museum is pleased to offer the following special events for all visitors during the month of April:  

  • Wednesday, April 10: The Bush Museum will offer free admission to all guests, courtesy of Sewell Automotive Companies, to mark the city of University Park’s centennial. The museum will be open for normal operating hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reserve tickets here 
  • Thursday, April 11: The museum will open for Bush Museum After Hours from 5 to 8 p.m. Musicians from the Dallas Symphony Orchestra will perform classic and popular favorites from 6 to 7 p.m. A cash bar will be available.   • Wednesday, April 17: The Bush Museum will offer free admission to all guests, courtesy of Sewell Automotive Companies, in celebration of the George W. Bush Presidential Center’s annual Forum on Leadership. The Bush Museum will be open for shortened operating hours, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Reserve tickets here. 
  • Thursday, April 18: The Bush Museum will offer a special, public session of the Bush Center’s Forum on Leadership titled The War Room: Analyzing the Conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. From 12 to 3 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to examine the real-time conflicts in these regions through a showcase of up-to-date information. Kimberly Kagan, President of the Institute of War, and Frederick Kagan, Senior Fellow and Director of the Critical Threats Project at the American Enterprise Institute, provide daily analysis and maps, which are used by major media outlets, including BBC, CNN, The Guardian, and The New York Times. Museum admission is required for the afternoon event; tickets can be purchased here 

Museum visitors will have the opportunity to explore the Bush Museum’s permanent exhibit in The Boeing Company Exhibition Gallery, which offers a moving display on Sept. 11, 2001, a replica Oval Office, and an interactive experience in presidential decision-making.  

Guests can also view the Bush Museum’s special exhibit in The Bradford M. Freeman Exhibition Gallery, Freedom Matters, which features rare artifacts and interactive activities that examine the concept of freedom both at home and abroad. Artifacts include a 14th-century copy of the Magna Carta as well as rare versions of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution of the United States, and Bill of Rights.
