Mary Moore Hamrick serves as the Don Evans Family Managing Director of Domestic Policy. In this role, she will provide leadership on research, policy, and programmatic efforts for the Bush Institute, helping drive the overall mission, strategy, and impact of the organization.

Ms. Hamrick previously served as the CEO of Political Quotient Advisors as well as a Senior Fellow at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill’s Kenan Institute for Private Enterprise. She has over 30 years of experience in business and government, and results oriented leadership in the legal, regulatory, legislative strategy and policy industries. In addition to those most recent roles, Ms. Hamrick has served in a number of senior positions in the financial services industry, including Chief Public Policy Officer for Grant Thornton, Senior Director of External Relations and Strategic Planning for the Center for Audit Quality, Director of the Office of External Relations for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, Vice President for New York Life Insurance Co., Counsel to the U.S. House Committee on Energy & Commerce and an Investment Representative at Morgan Stanley.

She began her career as an agent at IMG, an internationally recognized talent agency where she represented sports marketing clients in negotiated transactions. Ms. Hamrick received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University, and her JD and MBA degrees from the University of North Carolina.  She continues to serve on a variety of boards and organizations.
