Juan Preciado serves as Program Manager, Veterans and Military Families, for the George W. Bush Institute. In this role, he supports execution of the Veteran Wellness Alliance’s vision and the day-to-day operational needs of Check-In.
Prior to joining the Bush Institute, Preciado served in the City of Dallas City Manager’s Office, supporting executive leadership on policy, budgeting, strategic initiatives, and citywide priorities. He brings additional local government experience from the cities of Dallas and Austin, where he worked in budget and policy roles. Preciado also serves as a Naval Reserve Intelligence Officer and previously served aboard the USS America.
Preciado is a native of Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy, with a minor in Economics, from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs. He remains actively involved in the Dallas community through his service on local boards and commissions and his work supporting veterans and neighborhood initiatives. He is an avid runner and enjoys exploring Dallas with his wife, Brenda, and spending time with their two dogs.
