DALLAS, TEXAS – Laura and I mourn the passing of Mel Sembler. Mel was a diplomat, a business leader, and a loving husband and father. He was a generous member of his community and a patriotic citizen who represented America well. To Laura and me, and the entire Bush family, Mel Sembler was a dear friend. We send his beloved children and grandchildren our condolences, and we pray they take comfort in Mel and Betty’s heavenly reunion.
