DALLAS, TEXAS – Laura and I are saddened to hear that Brian Mulroney has passed away. He was smart and charming, fun and kind. He had a beautiful voice and a beautiful wife, Mila.
As Prime Minister of Canada, Brian helped end the Cold War, working closely with Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. He developed a very close friendship with my dad. At Dad’s funeral, Brian recited, “There are wooden ships, there are sailing ships, there are ships that sail the sea. But the best ships are friendships, and may they always be.”
My family is grateful for Brian Mulroney’s friendship. Laura and I send our sympathy and love to Mila and the Mulroney family as they remember a great man. May his ship sail on in fair winds and following seas.
