Baseball in the spotlight at the George W. Bush Presidential Center with Texas Rangers memorabilia and special events featuring Elvis Andrus, Rafael Palmeiro, and Clayton Kershaw

For a limited time only, Game Changer: United by Sports presented by Garry Weber will feature game-used gear from Texas Rangers icons like Nolan Ryan and Kenny Rogers, plus unforgettable memorabilia from the 2023 World Series championship team

Dallas, Texas — The George W. Bush Presidential Center has unveiled Texas Rangers memorabilia on display as part of Game Changer: United by Sports presented by Garry Weber at the George W. Bush Presidential Museum.

Now through the end of April, visitors can get up close to iconic Texas Rangers memorabilia, including:

  • Baseball bat used by Corey Seager to hit a game-tying home run during World Series Game 1 on Oct. 27, 2023 – its first time to be on display
  • World Series Game 5 lineup card from Nov. 1, 2023
  • Baseball from the final out of the 2023 World Series on Nov. 1, 2023
  • Game-used baseball from Nolan Ryan’s final game on Sept. 22, 1993
  • Home jersey worn by Kenny Rogers when he threw his perfect game on July 28, 1994
  • Baseball thrown during Kenny Rogers’ perfect game on July 28, 1994
  • Hard hat worn by President George W. Bush during the construction of The Ballpark in Arlington from 1992-1994
  • American League Rawlings Gold Glove Award for Iván Rodríguez from 2001
  • Adrian Beltré third baseman’s glove from the 2018 season
  • 2023 World Series Championship replica trophy

Fans are invited to kick off baseball season with Texas Rangers Day at the Bush Museum on Saturday, March 21. Visitors can meet Rangers legends Elvis Andrus and Rafael Palmeiro during a special autograph signing, take photos with the 2023 World Series trophy, and meet Captain, the Rangers’ beloved mascot. The day will also spotlight the future of the game, welcoming athletes from the Rangers Youth Academy for a special tour of Game Changer, made possible with support from ESPN Take Back Sports and Huntington Bank. Texas Rangers Day is included with museum admission.

Building on the celebration of America’s favorite pastime, the conversation will continue on Wednesday, March 25, with a special Engage at the Bush Center presented by NexPoint event featuring Ellen and Clayton Kershaw. Together, they’ll offer an inspiring conversation on the power of sports to lift communities, drawing on lessons from Kershaw’s storied career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the couple’s deeply rooted commitment to service. Award-winning radio host Craig Miller of The Ticket will guide the conversation. Tickets are on sale now.

Game Changer brings to life the power of sports in bridging divides and fostering unity across cultures through rare artifacts and inspirational stories. Visitors can explore pivotal moments when sports brought our nation together, such as President Bush’s first pitch at the World Series in New York after 9/11, and learn how legendary athletes like Jesse Owens and Jackie Robinson inspired change far beyond the game.

Admission to view Game Changer is included with the purchase of a ticket to visit the Bush Museum’s permanent exhibit, which includes steel beams from the World Trade Center and a full-size replica of the Oval Office. Tickets are available for purchase here.
