Liberty & Laughter: The Lighter Side of the White House
Engage at the Bush Center, Presented by NexPoint
We are deeply concerned about the people of Ukraine in the wake of Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion, which has caused an untold number of deaths and created more than a million refugees. The Bush Center will donate the proceeds of ticket sales from this event to CARE, which is working to provide Ukrainian families fleeing violence with immediate emergency assistance.
This event features entertaining and memorable discussion about the importance of laughter in the White House. Karen Hughes, a longtime advisor to President Bush, will participate along with Landon Parvin, the author of many humorous speeches delivered by Presidents at White House Correspondents Dinners and other lighthearted occasions, and David Litt, a bestselling author and former Funny or Die producer who served as a speechwriter to President Obama. The program complements the special exhibit of the same name, which returns in March 2022.
