In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the Bush Center invites visitors to explore a striking new outdoor art installation from local artist George Tobolowsky. Set along the circle drive in front of the Bush Institute, along Bush Avenue, the exhibition features five distinct installations composed of ten American flags.
Using found and recycled materials, primarily made-in-America wrenches, drill bits, fans, and sprockets, Tobolowsky transforms industrial objects into powerful interpretations of the American flag, reflecting different moments in the nation’s history.
Explore this new installation before or after a visit to the museum or a stroll through the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park.
The Bush Center’s America at 250 celebration is presented by Sewell, with special thanks to Hoblitzelle Foundation.
