As a part of the Bush Center’s celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, in collaboration with Wonder Project and Angel Studios, we invite you to attend a screening of the film Young Washington on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Young Washington chronicles the origins of America’s first president and will debut in theaters on July 4th.
“George Washington’s early years is a story I’ve wanted to tell for a very long time,” said Jon Erwin, director of Young Washington and founder of Wonder Project. “The trials he faced shaped the man who would lead a nation, and so much of that journey remains largely untold. Bringing this powerful story to life with such an extraordinary cast is a dream come true.”
In addition to viewing the film, writer Diederik van Hoogstraten will be in attendance to participate in a Q&A with the audience after the viewing of the film.
Tickets are complimentary but registration is required. Families, please note the film is rated PG-13 and runs approximately 120 minutes.
About the film
Before he was the Father of a Nation, he was a soldier fighting to survive. A single misstep thrusts young George Washington into the center of a global conflict, testing his honor, loyalty, and courage. As alliances crumble and the frontier erupts into war, he must confront not only his enemies but the man he’s becoming. This is the untold story of Young Washington.
