Café 43, in reference to the 43rd President of the United States, is a full-service restaurant on the grounds of the George W. Bush Presidential Center operated by Dallas-based food and beverage management specialists, Culinaire.

Café 43 has indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the native Texas landscaping and the main entrance to the George W. Bush Institute. Dining at the restaurant does not require admission to the museum.

Courtyard Cafe

The Courtyard Café is a casual dining venue located in the Ceremonial Courtyard inside the George W. Bush Library and Museum.  It features daily Chef-created specials as well as soups, salads, sandwiches, breakfast items and Starbucks Coffee.

About the Chef

John Maas, Executive Chef
An accomplished chef with a strong combination of culinary experience and management skills, Executive Chef John Maas has created a locally sourced, organic, seasonal, sustainable menu for Café 43 offering recipes made entirely in house. Prior to joining Café 43, Maas was executive chef for Hackberry Creek Country Club (operated by Club Corp) in Irving, Texas. He has also served as executive chef for CHG Cityplace/Cityplace Conference Center/Cityplace Events in Dallas; executive chef of Tower Club (operated by Club Corp) in Dallas; and as executive chef and partner at Fleming’s Prime Steak and Wine Bar. Maas received certification in Culinary Apprenticeship and Foodservice Management from El Centro College/Hyatt Regency Hotel.
