Nang Kham Ying Nonk has served as a national project coordinator for the International Labour Organization (ILO) since July 2016. In this capacity, she works on peace, reconciliation, and development outreach through a community empowerment program in Shan State, Myanmar.

Before joining the ILO, Nang Kham Ying Nonk was a full-time staff member with the Shan Women’s Action Network (SWAN), where she taught gender, human rights, politics, English, and computing, in addition to coordinating and supervising the new trainees of the organization’s Young Women’s Leadership Training program. Nang Kham Ying Nonk contributed to the development of SWAN as a trainer, facilitator, and community advocate, as well as an intermediary between other networks and local organizations.
