Aung Ye Htut Tin is a policy research associate with The Innovative Academy, a leading civil society body that provides civic education for political parties and other organizations specializing in policy research. He received his degree from the University of Dental Medicine in Rangoon in 2007. He has also studied at the German-based Konrad Adenauer Foundation’s School for Young Politicians. He is a member of the executive committee of the Mon Social Development Network.

The Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID) invited Aung Ye Htut Tin to participate as an observer at the Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative 6th Global Conference and International Mining for Development Conference (IM4DC), which took place in 2013 in Sydney. Since 2010, he has conducted trainings in public policy, decentralization, democratization, and voter education.
