Andrew Marr

Andrew Marr

Sergeant First Class (Retired)
U.S. Army

2016 W100K Rider

Sergeant Andrew Marr is a former Special Forces Green Beret & the Chief Executive Officer of Warrior Angels Foundation, an organization whose purpose is to help veterans suffering from traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

While serving as a Green Beret, Andrew performed the duties of "breacher,"which required him to blow open enemy doors, often using explosives.  He was exposed to blasts in various forms on a variety of missions.  This constant bombardment of explosives was silently crushing Andrew and he suffered numerous traumatic brain injuries.

He was medically retired and found that despite his once elite military status, he couldn't remember simple tasks.  He began struggling with cognition, memory, behavior, alcohol, all symptoms that are commonly associated with a TBI. When the conventional treatment methods did not help Andrew, he found the Warrior Angels Foundation.  They provided him with a personalized treatment plan that pinpointed underlying conditions.

Today, Marr is a great athlete and he thoroughly enjoys mountain biking.
