All Things Bright and Beautiful

Exhibit

November 16, 2017 - January 8, 2018

From The Nutcracker to A Snowy Winter Wonderland to Santa’s Workshop – the President and First Lady have chosen a theme for the White House holiday celebrations every year since 1961.

Nature’s Winter Beauty

In the spring of 2005, President and Mrs. George W. Bush chose the theme All Things Bright and Beautiful to highlight the beauty to be found in nature, especially the fruits, flowers, and plants of the winter holidays.

At the George W. Bush Presidential Center, visitors will discover the beauty and excitement of the White House holiday. The all-new exhibit showcases gorgeous flowers and colorful murals, behind-the-scenes photos, Mrs. Bush’s holiday dress, BarneyCam videos, and more.

WHITE HOUSE CHRISTMAS TREE

Visitors can also make memories with a family photo in front of the giant Blue Room Christmas tree. Each year, the Blue Room Christmas tree serves as the centerpiece of White House holiday décor. The Bush Center’s 18-foot re-creation of the White House Christmas tree will have over 500 white lilies, glass bead garland, clear crystal ball ornaments, and a moss tree skirt.

Bush Center Museum Store

Pre-order the 2017 Bush Center Christmas Ornament, featuring “Tree of Life”, painted by President Bush. The ornament will be available for in-store pickup and shipping the first week in November.

The Bush Center Courtyard Tree
