George W. Bush Presidential Center
Exhibits & Events
Through our three Impact Centers -- Domestic Excellence, Global Leadership, and our Engagement Agenda -- we focus on developing leaders, advancing policy, and taking action to solve today’s most pressing challenges.
President George W. Bush has dedicated much of his post-presidency to honoring our nation’s post - 9/11 veterans and helping them make a smooth transition to civilian life, including addressing the invisible wounds of war. Through the Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative, President Bush has assembled a special group of wounded warriors that are especially close to his heart, Team 43.
President Bush has combined his appreciation for our veterans with his favorite hobby – painting. Join us as we feature works in his new book Portraits of Courage, alongside some of the subjects of his paintings, members of Team 43.
Tickets include special after-hours entry in the new special exhibit, Portraits of Courage, featuring a collection of oil paintings and stories by President George W. Bush, honoring the sacrifice and courage of America’s military veterans.
Auditorium seats are sold out for the Portraits of Courage event, but we are happy to offer overflow seating in the adjacent Hall of State, where guests will watch a live feed of the event and enjoy a special program.
