The Bush Museum promotes a greater understanding of the American presidency, offers a moving exhibit on September 11, 2001, a replica Oval Office, and an interactive experience in presidential decision-making through the Decision Points Theater.

As part of your museum visit, you can view our special exhibit, Game Changer: United by Sports, presented by Garry Weber. The exhibit explores how sports are interwoven with American history, spotlighting defining moments that put the nation on the world stage.

Also on display is A Shining City on the Hilltop, a special art exhibit featuring never-before-seen paintings by President George W. Bush capturing life across the Bush Center and SMU’s campus.

While you’re here, we hope you’ll also enjoy the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park, join us for lunch at Café 43, and visit the George W. Bush Presidential Museum Store.

The Bush Museum is located at:

Directions and Parking
Visitors are strongly encourage to use ride-share or utilize the Dallas Area Rapid Transit System (DART). Both the Lovers Lane and Mockingbird DART stations are located within one mile of the Bush Center. Free parking is available at the Mockingbird DART Station.

If you choose to drive, visitors may park in the Bush Center visitor lot (please reference the map below), located just north of the building. Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors will be charged $10 per car for the first hour and $1.00 for each additional 30 minutes. Visitors pay by credit card upon exiting the parking lot.

Security
The George W. Bush Presidential Center is a federal facility, which requires all visitors to pass through airport-type security and metal detectors. Prior to your arrival, review our list of prohibited items below.

Only one purse or diaper bag is allowed per person, and bags cannot be larger than 17 x 26 inches (43 x 66 centimeters) in size. No food or drink will be allowed to go through security.

Accessibility
Wheelchairs are available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. They cannot leave the Bush Museum's secure area, and guests may not take them into Café 43, the Bush Museum Store, the street for pick-up or drop-off, or the Freedom Plaza fountain. Motorized scooters are allowed.

Only animals defined by the ADA as Service Animals are allowed entry. If you have concerns about accessibility before your visit, please contact Guest Services at boxoffice@bushcenter.org or 214-200-4306.

Bring Your Own Device
Visitors are encouraged to download the Bush Center app on their personal device (App StoreGoogle Play) and bring headphones to experience audio tours of the exhibit(s).
