Thank you for making a reservation for the Holiday Tea at the George W. Bush Presidential Museum on Wednesday, December 20 at 2:30 p.m. We look forward to welcoming you to the Bush Museum as we start a new holiday tradition with our Holiday Tea.

Experience a joyous atmosphere surrounded by American history. We invite you to arrive early to explore the Bush Museum's permanent exhibit about the 43rd President as well as our current special exhibit, Freedom Matters. Your Holiday Tea experience includes admission to the Bush Museum.

Don’t miss out on your photo in the Oval Office, the beautiful Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park, and a wonderful selection of holiday gifts for purchase in the Museum Store.

Important Note: The City of University Park will fully close westbound SMU Boulevard from the southbound 75 frontage road to Boedeker Street from Monday, December 18, 2023 through Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Should this closure affect your route, please consider using Bush Avenue from Mockingbird Lane as a means to access our visitor parking lot. See directions below.

Schedule of Events

9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. The Bush Museum is open for you to explore before or after your Holiday Tea.
Upon arrival Enter the Bush Musem located off SMU Boulevard.

Proceed through security and check in at the Bush Museum Box Office. We invite you to explore the exhibits until your scheduled seating time.
2:25 p.m. Proceed to the main doors of the Ceremonial Courtyard (between the nutcrackers).

Please check in with our host in the courtyard to be seated at your reserved table.
2:30 p.m. Holiday Tea begins.
3:25 p.m. Holiday Tea concludes.

Please continue to explore the museum exhibits or the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park.
5:00 p.m. The Bush Museum closes.

Event Parking

Museum parking is available in the Bush Center visitor lot located directly across the street from the George W. Bush Presidential Museum entrance (please reference the map below). Parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Visitors will be charged $10 per car for the first 4 hours and $1.00 for each additional 30 min. Visitors pay by credit card upon exiting the parking lot.

When using the main crosswalk between the parking lot and the Bush Center, please make sure to illuminate the lights to let drivers know you are crossing.

Check-In and Security Information

Check-in will take place at the Museum Box Office.

Visitors will pass through airport-type security and metal detectors. Visitors, as well as their belongings, are subject to inspection.  The requirement for bag inspection and visitor screening on entrance will result in an inability to guarantee our security officers can maintain 6-foot social distance during these procedures.

Bags and backpacks are not permitted.  Only one purse or diaper bag is allowed per person, and bags cannot be larger than 17 × 26 inches (43 × 66 centimeters) in size.

Wheelchairs are available onsite.
