Eclipse Safety
Eclipse glasses from Totality over TX will be available while supplies last. Please be aware that viewing a solar eclipse improperly can lead to serious and permanent eye damage. Please visit the American Astronomical Society (AAS) and NASA websites for more information about eye safety and other necessary safety precautions to take during a solar eclipse. The Bush Center assumes no responsibility for any person causing harm to themselves or others by following unsafe eclipse viewing procedures.

What time should I arrive?
This is a come and go event. Check-in will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the entrance to the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park near the Bush Institute to ensure guests have ample time to pick up their eclipse glasses and move into position for the viewing.
What should I wear?
We recommend dressing comfortably for spring outdoor weather. The viewing takes place entirely outside in the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park.
What should I bring?
- Seating will not be provided, but you are welcome to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs.

- Please be aware that there might be ants or other insects in the park. There are two active beehives on the west side of the park.
- Complimentary bottled water will be available while supplies last, please bring additional water if needed.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets are welcome but must be leashed. Please pick up after your pet.
Trail Information
Paved walkways lead to the entrance of the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park. The park contains a one-mile network of both decomposed granite and mulched trails. Comfortable shoes are recommended for walking the trails. Please stay on the pathways and lawns to avoid trampling the wildflowers.
