Celebrate the joy of the Easter Season at the Bush Center

Join us this spring season at the Bush Center for a joyful celebration of Easter spirit! The Family Easter Celebration offers egg hunts, a bunny petting zoo, and the chance to visit with the Easter Bunny himself! Don't miss the opportunity to participate in our spring scavenger hunt as you engage with our friendly Master Naturalists to find signs of spring in the Laura W. Bush Native Texas Park.

To complete your day, make sure to reserve a lunch spot at Café 43 after the festivities.

Your Easter experience includes admission to the George W. Bush Presidential Museum to explore both our permanent and special exhibit, Freedom Matters.

Presidents Day – Free Admission to the George W. Bush Presidential Museum

In honor of Presidents Day, admission to the George W. Bush Presidential Museum will be FREE for all visitors Monday, Feb. 19.

Explore the American presidency through the lens of the 43rd president. Take a seat behind a replica resolute desk while posing for a portrait, test your decision-making in a presidential simulation, and even take a stroll through the Texas Rose Garden – all located in the Bush Museum’s permanent exhibit.

Examine historical artifacts and some of our country’s founding documents in the special exhibit, Freedom Matters. Visitors have the unique opportunity to view a 14th-century copy of the Magna Carta and rare versions of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution of the United States, and Bill of Rights.

Entertaining at the White House
A Conversation with White House Social Secretaries

Engage at the Bush Center, presented by NexPoint

A panel of former White House Social Secretaries will share insights and behind-the-scenes stories about entertaining at the White House. From State Dinners to picnics on the South Lawn, the experts will discuss the importance of the White House as a stage for hospitality and diplomacy.

Anita McBride, former Assistant to President Bush and Chief of Staff to Mrs. Laura Bush, will moderate a conversation with Jeremy Bernard, former White House Social Secretary to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama; Gahl Hodges Burt, former White House Social Secretary to President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan; and Amy Zantzinger, former White House Social Secretary to President Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush.

Storytime at the Bush Museum

Join us for storytime in the children’s reading area of the Boeing Exhibition Gallery at the Bush Museum. Each week, a Bush Center staff member will read aloud one of Mrs. Laura Bush’s favorite picture books or from her recommended reading list. This event is free with museum admission and recommended for ages five and under.
