Celebrate along the Tom Lea Trail, which includes the Bush Center as one of its stops. Tom Lea (1907–2001) was an American artist from El Paso known for his illustrations, murals, and work as an artist correspondent for Life magazine during World War II. President Bush displayed Lea’s painting, Rio Grande, in the Oval Office. Adair Margo, founder of the Tom Lea Institute, who served President Bush as chairman of the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, will be on site to share about Lea’s work and the new Tom Lea Trail mobile website.
