A Conversation with White House Social Secretaries

For this evening’s elevated festivities, cocktail attire is recommended. 

Doors open at 5:00 p.m. for champagne upon arrival and live music before the program begins at 6:00 p.m. 

Seating for this event has two ticket types, Auditorium or Overflow in the Hall of State. 

• If you bought an Auditorium ticket you will be seated in the Auditorium. 
• If you bought an Overflow ticket, you will be seated in the Hall of State, a space separate from the Auditorium where guests will view the program livestream. 

Overflow seating is separate from the Auditorium and located in the Hall of State. If you are seated here, you will view the program via livestream. While not guaranteed, we make every effort to bring unique surprises and special experiences to our guests sitting in overflow.

Beverages will be available to purchase at the cash bar. If you wish to bring your beverage into the auditorium, a Bush Center branded reusable tumbler can be purchased for $4.00. These are available at point of sale.

Parking Information  

We have very limited parking on the SMU campus. Please note the parking options below. 

Valet Parking Services  

Paid valet parking is available to our guests for this event. You can find the valet services at the designated location on the map below. Please note the physical address of the Bush Institute is 6100 Bush Avenue, on the west side of the complex. 

Ride Share 

Using a ride-share service is highly encouraged. Drivers may drop off and pick up at the designated location on the map below. Please note the physical address of the Bush Institute is 6100 Bush Avenue, on the west side of the complex. The main Bush Museum entrance on SMU Boulevard will not be open. 

Bush Center Parking 

Limited event parking will be available in the Bush Center visitor lot located directly across the street from the George W. Bush Presidential Museum entrance (please reference the map below). Parking in these lots is available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

When using the crosswalk between the parking lot and the Bush Center, please make sure to illuminate the lights to let drivers know you are crossing.

For security purposes, you will be required to present a photo ID and proceed through security screening. 

Prohibited Items 

Prior to your arrival, review our list of prohibited items below.  

• No weapons of any type, including pocketknives or guns are allowed inside the Facility. 
• No outside food and drink.  
• Large Bags and backpacks are not permitted.  Only one purse or diaper bag is allowed per person, and bags cannot be larger than 17 × 26 inches (43 × 66 centimeters) in size. 

The Bush Center strives to provide an excellent experience to all guests, including those guests with disabilities and special needs. The Bush Center recognizes the needs of persons with disabilities and is committed to meeting or exceeding the requirements of compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Texas accessibility standards.  

Accessible seating is available on entry level of the auditorium. All other accessible seating is subject to the configuration for the various events.  

The Bush Center can provide sign language interpretation for guests with hearing disabilities. Requests for this service must be received 30 days prior to the event and be approved by the Bush Center.

Event tickets are non-refundable. Unless otherwise indicated on the invitation you received, we are happy to transfer your tickets to another individual.  

Transfer requests should be requested by emailing [email protected] at least 24-hours prior to the event. When contacting us, please include your name, order number, and the name and email address of the individual to whom you wish to transfer your tickets. Please note that responses to email may take up to 48-hours for a response.
