Today, on the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of 2001, the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum will host a variety of special programs, including an exhibit featuring documents and artifacts pertaining to September 11th that have never been displayed before. 

Artifacts and documents will include: 

  • A block of granite from the World Trade Center;
  • A book of memories from the children of Booker Elementary School;
  • Challenge coins from NYFD and the Pentagon;
  • A book of condolences from throughout the world;
  • A lapel pin President Bush wore when touring the Pentagon after 9/11;
  • The American Flag that flew over the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on 9/11;
  • Programs from the National Day of Prayer and Remembrance at The National Cathedral, Sept. 14, 2001;
  • Programs from the President's address to the joint session of 107th Congress on Sept. 20, 2001; and, 
  • A family condolence message sent by President and Mrs. Bush to the families of the victims.

Throughout the day, the Bush Library and Museum will screen three films: George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview; 9/11; and, 102 Minutes that Changed America.
