How to Support Afghanistan Refugees in North Texas

Humanitarian aid is needed now more than ever for the people of Afghanistan, and we are touched by the work North Texans are doing to welcome our new neighbors. Learn more about some of the many organizations that are advocating for Afghans – and how you may be able to help.

DFW Refugee Outreach Services 
The nonprofit specializes in facilitating access to basic needs and providing mentorship programs for refugee families in the area. 

Dallas Refugee Project 
Donations help refugees resettle in Dallas by providing a safe and welcoming community and environment.

IRC Dallas
International Rescue Committee Dallas has helped resettle thousands of Special Immigrant Visas holders, including more than 80 new Afghans. Volunteers are needed. 

Ma’ruf Dallas
Ma’ruf Dallas is a Muslim organization that advocates social justice by serving individuals, families, and communities in need. 

Refugee Services of Texas
RST Dallas offers resettlement services to incoming refugees, helping them integrate into the American workplace and society. Volunteer opportunities  include apartment setup, language interpreting, airport pickups, and more.

Vickery Trading
The company is helping The Northwest Community Center gather new clothes for the hundreds of Afghan families arriving in the DFW area in the coming weeks.
