The Warrior Open underscores the importance of sports as a rehabilitation component for our wounded or injured post-9/11 service members.
The Bush Institute was honored to host the 2021 Warrior Open with partners AT&T on Veterans Day at the Las Colinas Country Club. The Warrior Open underscores the importance of sports as a rehabilitation component for our wounded or injured post-9/11 service members. It encompasses one part of the work done by the Bush Institute Military Service Initiative, which focuses on helping post-9/11 veterans and their families make successful transitions to civilian life. We honor their service and their families by helping vets improve their quality of life and develop their leadership potential.
The day of competition started with opening remarks by President Bush, expressing his gratitude for the sacrifices the 24 Warrior veterans and their families have made for our country. President Bush and Mrs. Bush joined the veteran players and their families on the course during the highly competitive tournament.
