DALLAS, TEXAS — The George W. Bush Presidential Center will host festive holiday events – some open to the public and others exclusive to members – to celebrate the upcoming holiday season.
Merry & Bright Night – the annual family-friendly Engage at the Bush Center, presented by NexPoint event – will be Tuesday, Nov. 28, at 6 p.m. Attendees can visit with Santa Claus in the replica Oval Office, join Mrs. Claus for story time, and enjoy holiday cookies and children’s activities. The event is exclusive to Bush Center members. Memberships can be purchased prior to the event at https://www.bushcenter.org/support-us/membership. Members receive advanced invitations to Bush Center events, a discount on George W. Bush Presidential Museum Store merchandise, and more.
Local holiday choirs will perform for museum guests in the Bush Museum’s Freedom Hall throughout the month of December. The performance schedule is as follows:
- Saturday, Dec. 2, at 11 a.m. – Woodrow Wilson High School Choir
- Saturday, Dec. 9, at 2 p.m. – Kingdom Singers of the Belong Ministry of Highland Park United Methodist Church
- Monday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. – Bishop Lynch High School Choir
On Dec. 20 and 22, the Bush Museum will host holiday tea at 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. in the Ceremonial Courtyard. Attendees will enjoy a casual afternoon tea service and have the opportunity to explore the Bush Museum’s permanent exhibit in The Boeing Company Exhibition Gallery and special exhibit, Freedom Matters. Visitors can stop by the Bush Museum Store to shop for unique holiday gifts, including a Christmas ornament bundle, a jacket with the Air Force One seal, and a maple pen with President George W. Bush’s signature. Members receive a 10% discount on Bush Museum Store merchandise.
