We take a look back at some of our favorite moments from the inaugural season of the Bush Institute's latest podcast.

Twenty-nine interviews later and we’ve wrapped on the first season of The Strategerist. Thank you to all who joined us. Below are a list of our favorite moments.

We’re excited about the guests coming up in season two— don’t miss an episode by subscribing on Apple PodcastsSpotify or Google Play.

Episode 22: President George W. Bush

The laughs came easy when we chatted with President Bush. He shared why humor is an important leadership trait and what no one asks him that he wishes they would.  However, it was hearing his thoughts about The Strategerist’s name that really had us belly laughing.

Episode 06: Cokie Roberts

It’s not every day you get to interview a journalism legend. To this day, we are still empowered by Cokie and the great strides she made for women in journalism. Take a listen to how things have changed from when she was a young reporter to now.

Episode 14: Joshua Bolten

Joshua Bolten is a Harley motorcycle riding bass player who was also White House Chief of Staff to President Bush and is now the CEO of the Business Roundtable. Josh served in the White House during the “West Wing” craze, so we couldn’t help but ask him what his thoughts were on the show.

Episode 01: Carly Fiorina

A fellow optimist, Carly has a long history of leadership in both the for-profit and not-for-profit realms. We left the interview feeling inspired, especially by her stories about growing up in Africa as teenager.

Episode 08: Bill Browder

It’s a little intimidating to be in the room with President Vladimir Putin’s number one enemy. In 2005, Russian government officials committed and attempted to pin a $230 million fraud on Bill Browder. His Russian lawyer Sergei Magnitsky uncovered the fraud and ended up in jail, where he was tortured to death. You’ll have to listen to the interview to believe it for yourself.
