The commentary contained in the video below is by Agustín Barrios Gómez, a former member of the Mexican Legislature and President of the Image of Mexico Foundation.  He presents a concise and engaging statement of the Mexican perspective on U.S.-Mexico relations.  As Mr. Barrios Gómez notes, the image of Mexico held by many Americans is distorted by preconceptions and prejudices that can blind us to the many benefits of our close economic and political relationship.  Mexico faces numerous challenges, of course, but Mr. Barrios Gómez’ core point – that both countries are better off leveraging their shared strengths – remains true.
