AREL Convenes to give our kids the principals they deserve and Chris Garcia is the type of leader we work to ensure is in every school. School Director of Uplift Peak Academy, Garcia is a graduate of the Aspiring Ed Leaders Program – an AREL Network affiliate. Through a unique partnership between Teaching Trust and Southern Methodist University’s Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development, participants who successfully complete the two-year program earn the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with Urban School Specialization.
