Chris Garcia – A Principal our Kids Deserve

October 8, 2013 1 minute Read by Patrick Kobler

AREL Convenes to give our kids the principals they deserve and Chris Garcia is the type of leader we work to ensure is in every school.   School Director of Uplift Peak Academy, Garcia is a graduate of the Aspiring Ed Leaders Program – an AREL Network affiliate.  Through a unique partnership between Teaching Trust and Southern Methodist University’s  Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development, participants who successfully complete the two-year program earn the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership with Urban School Specialization.

This morning, the Bush Institute opened its AREL All-Network Convening with a charge: how do we put a Chris Garcia in every school.  Garcia believes that “It is every single scholar’s right to have a world class education.” Watch his interview below and share using #ARELConvenes
