Tobi Young is the general counsel and staff secretary for the George W. Bush Presidential Center. She is also President Bush’s designated Presidential Records Act representative. Before moving to Texas in 2009 to work for the Bush Foundation, Young served as special assistant to the President and associate counsel in the Office of the White House Counsel.
Prior to joining the White House, Young was a trial attorney and counsel to the assistant attorney general in the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. She also served as a law clerk to Judge Jerome A. Holmes of the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
A native of Oklahoma, Young worked as a press secretary for Representative J.C. Watts Jr. before entering the legal field.
