
Biography
Sha Mwe Hla is a political activist representing the Lahu minority. He is a member of the Nationwide Ceasefire Coordinating Team, a representative of the Nationalities Youth Forum, and a founder of the United Lahu Youth Organization. Previously he was a teacher in a migrant school.
In 2012, the Nationalities Youth Forum selected him as a representative to attend the ASEAN People’s Forum in Cambodia.
Since 2013, Sha Mwe Hla has actively participated in the Burmese peace process as an advisor to the Lahu leader. As a result, he was approached to be a member of Nationwide Ceasefire Coordinating Team on behalf of the Lahu people. He has also conducted training and workshops on democracy and federalism.
