Sally Canfield serves as Director, Global Health at the George W. Bush Institute. Previously, she was most recently she was Senior Director for government relations at The ONE Campaign, a campaign and advocacy organization of more than 8 million people around the world that works to end extreme poverty, especially in Africa. Additionally, she worked as Deputy Chief of Staff to Senator Marco Rubio of Florida and as a senior director at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
A veteran of the Bush Cheney 2000 campaign where she was Domestic Policy Advisor, she also held various roles throughout the Executive Branch, including as a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security. In her personal capacity, she sits on the board of The People’s Portfolio, nonprofit organization that uses multi-media storytelling, led by artist Platon, to document humanitarian efforts around the globe and to humanize important statistics.
