Lway Poe Ngeal is a political activist focusing on women’s rights. She is a presidium board member of the Women’s League of Burma (WLB) and Joint General Secretary of the Palaung Women’s Organization (PWO), which works to increase political awareness.

Lway Poe Ngeal studied international and Burmese law at the Academic Law Program conducted by the Burma Lawyer’s Council (BLC) in 2006. After finishing law school, she worked for the PWO providing training for young women in Northern of Shan State in the areas of human rights, women’s rights, federalism, and constitutional rights. She has held positions of increasing responsibility with the PWO, including Joint General Secretary.  In 2011, Lway Poe Ngeal completed the Foreign Affairs Training program offered by Education Initiative in Chaing Mai.
