Mariz Doss

Mariz Doss

2013 Fellow
Women's Initiative Fellowship Program

Mariz desires to support Egypt in its transitional period through empowering individuals and helping them discover their true potential, recognize their inner beauty, and increase their self-esteem. Mariz believes that by achieving these goals, individuals will be able to take risks and fight for their dreams.

A 2013 alumna of the Bush Institute’s Women’s Initiative Fellowship (now known as WE Lead), Mariz currently works as a Business Development Advisor at Medmark Insurance Brokerage. She also serves as a part time facilitator at Red Rock International where she leads experiential trainings for multinational organizations, local businesses, and youth.

She is a co-organizer of Cairo Runners, Cairo’s first organized running group. Since starting in 2012, the organization has grown to over 2500 members, hosting half marathons, marathons, and fundraising/cause runs. Cairo Runners also supported the launch of the first Cairo half-marathon and marathon, which today welcomes over 6,000 participants.

Mariz recently summited Mount Kilimanjaro, and today is an active member of Maadi Runners. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Ain Shams University.
