Master Sergeant Christian Cote began his military career in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1989. He was assigned to the Weapons Training Battalion, HQ Company, as a Combat Engineer and was honorably discharged in October 1992. After a year and a half he re-enlisted in the New York Army National Guard in 1994 as an Infantryman. For approximately a year and a half, Cote was ssigned to the 1/105 Charlie Company before transferring to the New York Air National Guard as a Security Forces member.
In 2006, Cote deployed to Iraq as a Close Precision Engagement Team Member. He volunteered for his 2nd combat deployment to Afghanistan and was assigned as a Tactical Security Team Leader working with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations. He completed numerous missions over enemy terrain. Cote’s vehicle was hit by an IED on August of 2011. He currently suffers from a Traumatic Brain Injury, Post Traumatic Vision Syndrome and balance issues.
Cote, his wife Dawn, and their four children live in Canadenisis, Pennsylvania.
