Amany Eid, who has a bachelor’s degree in economics and received an MBA from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands, is creating an online portal that matches volunteers with organizations needing assistance. Eid also volunteers for a project that provides job training to college students.
In an effort to help her local community influence politics, Eid set up a complaint board using Google Moderator. On this platform, residents can post their views and respond to others’ opinions. The issues with the most support are submitted to members of Parliament.
Eid participated in the “Egypt 2020” conference, where she moderated a workshop on decentralization and regional development.
She has also supported other Women’s Initiative fellows. She helped Azza Koura plan the conference “Egypt and Future Paths,” and provided marketing advice to Heba Wahsh for her dental business.
Eid is writing a book that will highlight women’s significant contribution to the Egyptian revolution.
