Sitting U.S. Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch returns to the Bush Center to discuss his new book, Over Ruled: The Human Toll of Too Much Law. America has always been a nation of laws, but in the book, Gorsuch suggests that today our laws have grown so vast and reach so deeply into our lives that it’s worth asking: In our reverence for law, have we gone too far? Over just the last few decades, laws in the U.S. have exploded in number; they are increasingly complex; and the punishments they carry are increasingly severe. Some of these laws come from our elected representatives, but many now come from agency officials largely insulated from democratic accountability. Bush Center President and CEO Ken Hersh will moderate what is sure to be a compelling and memorable conversation. Your ticket purchase includes entry to the event and conversation at the Bush Center. Add-ons are available for purchase when you register for the event including copies of the book, Over Ruled: The Human Toll of Too Much Law. When checking out online, please select pick up for the delivery method to receive your book purchase at the event. Books may be picked up on event day upon your arrival.
