You are invited to join us for a book exchange and networking reception for Young Professionals members prior to the Engage at the Bush Center program presented by NexPoint.
Meet your next favorite book at our book exchange where members can bring a gently used book to exchange for a new addition to their library.
How does a book exchange work?
- Each guest will bring a book(s) to exchange
- We will showcase the books for selection
- View the display and pick your next read
- Talk with other book enthusiasts about your selection
Continue your evening and join us in overflow seating where we will welcome Heather Morris to the Bush Center for the sixth “Laura Bush Book Club” edition of Engage at the Bush Center. Morris is the author of three novels, including The Tattooist of Auschwitz, a No. 1 international bestseller that sold more than 12 million copies in 47 languages and will soon be an original series on Peacock.
It has been described as a “beautiful, illuminating tale of hope and courage…based on interviews that were conducted with Holocaust survivor and Auschwitz-Birkenau tattooist Ludwig (Lale) Sokolov—an unforgettable love story in the midst of atrocity.” Anne Wicks, the Don Evans Family Managing Director, Opportunity and Democracy at the Bush Institute, will moderate what is sure to be a memorable conversation.

Young Professionals members will need to register for the networking reception, which is complimentary and a membership benefit. No action is needed to attend the Engage program. Your registration will account for both your attendance to the reception and complimentary overflow seating for the Engage program.
