Dear Presidential Leadership Scholars alumni, Last month marked 10 years since representatives from the LBJ Foundation, The George and Barbara Bush Foundation, The Clinton Foundation, and the George W. Bush Presidential Center gathered at the Newseum in Washington, D.C., to announce the Presidential Leadership Scholars program. We couldn’t have imagined the magic of this program in 2014 and the impact its Scholars would have on our communities and world. You have connected the homeless with their families; promoted public-private partnerships to support conservation efforts on tribal lands; stemmed the epidemic of youth opioid overdoses; improved the lives of refugees and immigrants through mentorship, resettlement, and community-based programming; and the list goes on. Your leadership and this community are needed now more than ever, and we know you will be the changemakers who keep our country moving forward. We’re excited to celebrate a decade of PLS over the next year as we welcome the 10th cohort of exceptional Scholars into this unique network. Lastly, as many of you know, Lindsay Davis has taken a new position at SMU. We will miss her bright countenance and fun personality. We wish her all the best in her new endeavors. We are excited that Casey Rodriguez will manage alumni relations and can help with anything you may need moving forward. Please contact her with any questions you may have. Thank you for your continued commitment to this program and its growing network. We hope to see you at an alumni gathering or on a webinar very soon! Sincerely,
Mike Hemphill, Ph.D Director, Presidential Leadership Scholars Clinton Foundation
