Dear PLS alumni,
Every January when we meet a new class of Presidential Leadership Scholars, I’m incredibly inspired and hopeful for our country and our world. And with nearly 500 alumni, there are no bounds to the future of this program and its impact. It’s been a privilege to know you and learn from you.
With that, I’m writing with some personal news. After 10 amazing years at the Bush Institute, I am heading to the University of Florida. I’ve accepted a new role as the Director of Special Projects in the Office of the President. This is a bittersweet moment for me; I will miss working with the amazing PLS team and with you all.
You are in great hands with Dr. Mike Hemphill and Kelley Jiou co-directing the program. My last official day at the Bush Institute is Jan. 31, but I will still be around part time, teaching for the new PLS class and supporting evaluation efforts at the Bush Institute over the next several months. Please keep in touch – you all know I’m always up for chatting about evaluation and surveys and good books you are reading. You can reach me at evamyrick@gmail.com.
I will forever be cheering you on and rooting for your success.
Thanks for all you do.
Sincerely,
Eva Chiang
