Last week, I had the distinct honor of meeting so many of our fellow supporters at one of my first events as the new President and CEO of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. I am sad to have missed you, but I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you soon.

At the reception, I discussed how the values that are so important to President and Mrs. Bush – freedom, opportunity, accountability, and compassion – have all played a role in my life. They are American principles that belong to all of us, and we must do our part to ensure that they continue to flourish.

I hope to see you at the President’s Council Gathering on October 22, the Donor Family Holiday Reception on December 5 or the Donor Holiday Cocktail Party on December 11, or one of our other upcoming fall events. I am excited about the new chapter ahead and look forward to continuing to engage deeply and meaningfully with you as we weave American ideals into the fabric of our civic life.
