Grant applications open for the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries

The Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries is accepting applications now through December 31 for grants to update and diversify school library collections. Grant applications are open to public schools, including charter and magnet schools, as well as private and parochial schools that have a school library. Public schools must have a Title I designation, and private schools must have at least 50% of the student population qualify for financial aid to be eligible.

Since its inception, the Laura Bush Foundation has awarded $23 million to over 4,000 schools nationally. Grant-awarded librarians have used the allocated funds to enhance their library collections by incorporating additional in-demand books, including e-books and publications in Spanish titles.
