Last week, I had the distinct honor of meeting many Bush Center friends at one of my first events as the new President and CEO of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. I am sad to have missed you at the reception, but I hope to have the pleasure of meeting you soon.

During my conversation with David Kramer, Executive Director of the George W. Bush Institute, I shared that I was drawn to the Bush Center, first and foremost, because of my deep admiration for President and Mrs. Bush. I believe that the Bush Center is uniquely positioned to lead a national conversation about the enduring principles and ideas that animate the American spirit. Everything we do is guided by those principles – freedom, opportunity, accountability, and compassion.
