Thank you so much for kindly welcoming me as the new President and CEO of the George W. Bush Presidential Center. It was a pleasure to be with you last week, and I am grateful to have joined this extraordinary institution.

As I mentioned, the values that are so important to President and Mrs. Bush – freedom, opportunity, accountability, and compassion – have all played a role in my life. They are American principles that belong to all of us, and we must do our part to ensure that they continue to flourish.

I hope to see you at the President’s Council Gathering on October 22, the Donor Family Holiday Reception on December 5 or the Donor Holiday Cocktail Party on December 11, or one of our other upcoming fall events. I am excited about the new chapter ahead and look forward to continuing to engage deeply and meaningfully with you as we weave American ideals into the fabric of our civic life.
