Following the release of Netflix’s The Six Triple Eight, which chronicles the remarkable story of World War II’s only Women’s Army Corps unit of color, the inspiring narrative of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion comes to life at the Bush Center. Join us to hear from Retired Army Colonel Edna Cummings, who produced a 2019 documentary on the Six Triple Eight and has been a tireless advocate for the battalion’s recognition, culminating in their being awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.
