The George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum is closed to the public effective 5 p.m. central time on Friday, March 13. This closure, directed by the National Archives and Records Administration, will last until further notice.

The safety of our guests, employees, and partners is our most important priority. During this closure, the museum, research room, and the Situation Room Experience are closed to visitors and researchers. Scheduled school groups and tour groups are also cancelled. Café 43, the full-service restaurant at the Bush Center, is closed.

Additionally, the retail store at the George W. Bush Presidential Center is closed. Online orders will be accepted via the online store.

The George W. Bush Institute, the policy focused arm of the Bush Center, remains operational and staff is working remotely. However, all Bush Center sponsored events scheduled until April 30th, including public programs, have been postponed or canceled at this time.

We will also continue to follow local and federal guidance on group gatherings. Any group or individual who has a contracted rental event scheduled between now and April 30th at the Bush Center should contact [email protected] for more information.

We are grateful to our community for a collective focus on health and safety in the weeks ahead. As we continue to monitor the situation, updates will be available at www.bushcenter.org and on all social media platforms at @thebushcenter.
