On May 19, 2014, the George W. Bush Institute will host Monetary Policy and the Economy: A Conference Examining Central Banking’s Impact on Prosperity. The conference will feature a moderated discussion with former Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke. In addition, panels with the leading voices in monetary policy, including Federal Reserve Bank Presidents Richard Fisher and John Williams, will examine how America’s monetary authority can be more effective, the role that the Federal Reserve has on the Texas economy specifically, and how we can outline a path forward for stronger economic growth.
